Beauty products are becoming more ambitious every day and new-generation textures are one of the most exciting recent developments. Traditional textures (think formats like some creams, lotions and gels) have taken a back seat while more creative textures have marched out to centre stage. This beauty trend is largely inspired by the innovation coming from Japan and South Korea, which is estimated to be 10 years ahead of the rest of the world in terms of beauty R&D!

Here at Oilixia, we love a playful and unique texture that re-imagines beauty as we know it. We’ve incorporated these interesting textures into our three new products, to realise our ambition to provide effective, yet pleasurable (and fun to use!) skincare.

‘LIKE MELTED-DOWN GUMMY BEARS’

We often come into contact with pollutants and dirt in our everyday lives and it can be tough finding a cleanser that really cleans down to the core whilst still being gentle on the skin.

At Oilixia, we rely on natural and naturally derived ingredients and texture to do the job – which is exactly what our Kakadu Plum Gummy Facial Cleanser is designed to do!

Our Gummy Cleanser was recently reviewed by Bella Blissett, the beauty editor of You magazine in the Mail on Sunday and she writes;

“It’s hard to reinvent the wheel on cleansers. Yet Oilixia Gummy Facial Cleanser surprised and impressed me. It is unusually thick in texture (think melted-down gummy bears); press it into the skin using your fingers and the result is a suction-like feeling that lifts and sculpts as it cleanses. SMOOTH AS SILK

Many people are initially wary of trying facial oils as they believe they might make skin greasy. Our facial oils are designed to treat skin with TLC and a lightweight texture to offer all the benefits without leaving behind any residue.

While both of our facial oils are quite lightweight, we recommend the Explorer Blend Facial Oil for those with skin that tends to be ‘normal’ but errs on the side of combination-oily. Its ultra-lightweight, smooth as silk texture means you get all the benefits without any of the fuss. It is the lightest of all our facial oils with a subtle, delicate texture and can even be worn under foundation for a dewy look.

GLOW TO GO

Our Amazonian Cacay Facial Oil is also quite lightweight in texture, but it’s also slightly richer and offers deeper nourishment than our Explorer Blend. Its texture is ideal for those with a tendency to dry skin as it can be used both morning and night to treat dry patches or just give skin a healthy glow. If you fancy a deep nourishing treatment, you can apply a generous layer as a facial mask.
